Actually that's my favorite bowl = wife was throwing it away = I said" Hey ! ! ! You crazy ????
I grabbed it and loved it ever since.
John = when ya run over here ya gonna run shallow, real shallow, comes with the territory ........
That's why they call that thing an oyster shucker .........
Ouch!! Better get that fixed!
Ginny
I don't think oil is supposed to look like that.:scratchhead I'd get that checked for sure. Just kidding, reminds me of a hangover.:puke Sorry, always looking for a way to use the little puking guy. Good luck and hopefully a quick turnaround.
....And yall worried about a few stumps at Talquin? What does the oyster bar look like after the tussle?
Jusr kiddin wit ya'll ......
Those marks on my skeg look like scratches, but if you look closely you can see my finger marks where I
rubbed my fingers through the marks upon seein em, also thinking they were scratches.
They're just marks, kinda like soapstone, however, they don't wipe off, but are perfectly smooth.
Where they come from = I have no idea
Looks like you need to reseal the lower unit , water and oil not a good mix LOL RR
Workin on it .........
That just don't look good to me...........not much fun ether
Having a problem getting the drive shaft oil-seals housing unit out ! ! ! ! ! !
I wonder which will get better first, your motor or my leg
Danny , Just between you and me , take it to a shop have the seals replaced and pressure tested might save you some down time , just take em the lower unit. there is also a seal where the prop is . RR
Man, when did you last change your pump impeller? What happened to preventive maintenance? Looks like you have been fishing and your motor is telling you "hey, what about me, you need to take care of me.:biggrin"
I AIN'T GOT TIME FOR PREVENTIVE MAINTENANCE ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! !
Just buy another one, throw that one away ! ! ! ! ! ! !
Actually R R , there's two on propshaft, and two on drive shaft ..........
I need to learn how to do this = I don't like the idea of givin them $95.00 pr hr
to do something I'm perfectly capable of doin myself .........
My only holdup is = I can't get the drive shaft oil-seals housing out ! ! !
Gonna take it down there tomorrow and see if they'll show me, even if I got to pay em ........
They'll probably tell me "for insurance reasons we can't let you watch, but we'll do it for
ya for $95.00 pr hr "MIN") ...... Shouldn't take 10 min = I already got it tore down ........
Did you try a bigger hammer?:yikes
Time for a trip to the VFW
I fix everything by watching youtube........even learned how to fish on there......
LOL , 95 an hour could be cheap if you break somethin RR

Took lower unit down to boat shop this morning = Guy says housing in too tight, had to destroy it getting it out (plastic SUCKS) ! ! ! ! (but they love it) ! ! ! ! !........................
Told him to go ahead and replace oil seals and housing ....
Will be a couple days (ordered parts) before I get it back from them ...................
I still get to replace prop shaft seals (got a good video on that) .......
Good luck Danny!!
Ginny
Sorry to hear about your problems Danny. Sounds like you gave it a good try and things didn't work out. I would be afraid to tackle that job myself. Good luck with getting back on the water.
Got foot back today = $130.00 to learn how to remove housing ........
The guy just drilled a couple holes and screwed a couple screws in it so he could grab it and pop it out ........
You can see where he chipped it by trying to pry it out with a screw driver (what I was originally afraid of doing).
Hmmmmph ! ! ! ! ! ! ! !
I sense some sarcasm, however I did learn how to throw a cast net from watching you tube videos.
Got tired of paying for shrimp for bait and not using much, bought a cast net, practiced in the back yard while Terry was at work, then showed him what I could do when he got home... lol.
I've been the net b**** ever since!
Love youtube videos.
Ginny
If your the net b**** does that make Terry the master baiter?? :Rofl :Rofl :Rofl
doing my own repairs is like fishing learn something even if it does cost some times in the long run . just saved a grand by repairing my foot my self on the old 55 hp evinrude that was jumping out of reverse .no new parts just recut the shift dog and ground the gear . works great .
As a matter of fact when we were in Port Arthur a couple of weeks ago, we told the net b**** story to our new friends there and they came to the same conclusion as you!! They said if I was N.B. did that make Terry M.B... lol. Hmmm - N.B and M.B. = We might not be invited to anymore slabfests!!
