Texoma Report
I never post but I thought I would put one up. We fished Texoma today 5/23. The fish were over brush piles in 9-13 fow. Fished double dipping with the bottom jig at about 6 feet. Almost every fish was on the bottom jig and the magic jig was a black and clear 1.5 inch tube on an 1/8th ounce head. We kept 33 and did not keep track of ones released. The biggest was just over 15 inches.

Thanks for the report, glad you caught a mess. Is that a public fish-cleaning station? Looks pretty cool.
-
great to see a report from Texoma, Nice stringer of crappie. Nice to here a good report on a specie's other than stripper
-
I enjoy a good stripper report every now and then. I also enjoy a good striper report!
(Probably shouldn't have said that, should I? LOL)
pearcer, with pictures and a report like that, you should post more often. Nice catch!

Stinkfinger that is a public cleaning station. This one was partially donated by the Six Old Geezers site. There are a few of them on the Oklahoma side. It sure make it nice at the end of the day.
I sure like catching stripers but I would much rather eat these slabs.

I am going to show this thread to a fellow I work with. He lives on Texoma and wants me to bring him crappie from La. Says its only good for stripers and white bass. Told him if I lived on it I would find those fish.
Good luck fishing.

Good seeing a report Pearcer! Post more often always like to hear reports on different lakes.

Ralph, great mess of fish and I'm glad to hear some Texoma reports. I rarely get down there anymore but back when I was tournament bass fishing I used to catch some very nice crappie on bass lures. I keep up with the Texas Fishing Forum, Crappie Fishing section and I have been hearing some excellent Texoma reports for the last month, especially on the Oklahoma side. Post more often - we need a reporter from down that way.

Ranger this is JR. I got out of Alaska for 10 days to feel some heat. It snowed on me Saturday before I went to the airport to fly home. I should be able to fish a couple more days before I head back on Wednesday.
-
Enjoy the heat JR...I am sure Dad will build a fire for you if need be...lol...Fly Safely when you return...envy you alot...Ranger

Of all the places I have ever lived, Alaska was the best. Sure envy you for being able to return and enjoy that place. Words cannot describe Alaska, pictures don't do it justice, only standing there and looking around can one take it all in. After you're home, drop back in occasionally and let us know how things are going, ok?
-
So I posted the good the other day. Today was not good. Only caught 3 in about 2 hours. The wind made it tough to stay on the brush. I am headed to alaska tomorrow morning so I will be missing this type of fishing until October.
Best of luck to everyone and be safe

I lurk on the Crappie section of the Texas Fishing Forum. Those guys are having some great reports from there. We need some more southern Oklahoma reporters!
