I will probably make a more advanced version at some point, but I think this will get you started if you are not that experienced at fishing timber.

Great Video man! What kind of rod and reel is that?
I really enjoyed the video thanks for taking the time to make it!!
It's an 8 foot proangler rod from pro angler tackle. They run about $42 with free shipping. The reel is a baitcast reel - quantum I got onsale for abuot $30. Bait caster make it easier to control depth than spinners. A couple quick clicks - one to release line and the other to stop it.
Great video and very good information. I need to learn to adjust my depth after a couple of minutes.
Great video alot of useful info
Thank you for posting this.
good video
Right On Point... Good Job!!!
Glad to see you posted this video here as well. Nice jib!
Thanks for the instruction, I have been wasting lots of time sitting on one tree too long.
Good video and narration. Thanks for sharin'.
Very informative. Thanks for the tips
Might want to copy this thread over on the Beginners/Mentoring forum, too. (if so, let me know & I'll take care of it !! )

Micheal,
Really enjoyed the video! My favorite way to Crappie fish. I have three rods set up like this whenever I fish trees. 6'9" - 8' for dippin, flippin and pitchin. A flippin switch on the baitcaster makes it even easier.
Great video....thanks! Looked like the dog searched around until he found the perfect spot to be dead center in the shot!! WTG Pooch! I'm guilty of spending too much time in one spot, even tho I've been told to keep moving. Thanks for the reminder
Those are some useful videos. Thanks for sharing and will be using the info this weekend.
I enjoyed the videos! Thanks for taking the time to make and post them.
I can already think of where I am going to use this technique on my next trip to the water!
Yep, I have Crappie fished for years and have always stayed at a spot way too long. Got some new technology and plan to use it. I have been moving around since I first saw a couple of your videos. To this point I think I have gotten 6 or 7 from one place. Most like you said 1 to 3. Thanks again!!!
Thanks for the video's!!!!!! The great crappie fishing legends on our lake say We fish to fast!!! Yes their are days, times they willbeat us on their Minnows tied to their trees or over brush. We catch them pretty good also!!! Enjoy the video's!!!
Great videos very informative
Just found these videos, watched them both and learned lots! Thank you
This a great video, may help me a lot.
Thanks for the great tips !!!
I really enjoyed that, thank you.
This past March, at lake Kissimmee Florida, we found specks in open water post spawn, anchored out, 5-6 poles out. 7 feet of water, fished18 inches to 24 in deep, over hydrilla. Lots of boat going the same, always did good till the guys from Wisconsin showed up, never stopped, back and forth and around everyone else anchored out. The fish were all over 12inches, bite was very consistent for a long time.
Once the trolling guys showed up, doing it like they were walleye fishing, in 20 feet of water, back and forth. Disturbed the fish moved them off for several hours. Crappie were patrolling the hydrilla, post spawn, feeding like crazy.
I have to say, it was good for many days, until the big moats moving moved them. Of course there was no trees, just open water.
