You need cardboard egg crates.
You can raise those things? I thought they just came in a box?
I like that brim fishing! Getting time. I usually catch red ears and brim. You catch bream up your way? I'll have to try that species of sunfish.:crazy:
rcc's cricket ranch
How do you catch a cricket in that big box?
Maybe you should take those to Poinsett and feed some of those skinny crappie!! :biggrin
Too big fer my boat! :Rofl You must be buy'n crickets in bulk. Carol must be going after Bream just like she does Crappie. Ya'll starting up a new trend? Maybe spiderrigging for Bream?:Rofl Try a tiny 1/64 or smaller jig with a Crappie bite you won at Crappie Camp.:twocents
rcc, i have one of those real cricket bait deals that was used in a bait shop. got the light, measuring tube, funnel and egg deals for the crickets to gather up under. you could get in the business with it.
I might get into some bream trollin. Is there a rod limit? Be hard to handle 4-5 at a time of them feisty critters!!!
Males are sitting on the beds in central AR, but I know how those pesky fish are in Poinsette. You might be bale to catch 3 oz gill this weekend if its right.
nice walmart trap
RCC - Most people on the forum take bait shops for granted. When you live 100 miles from the nearest you have to by in bulk! I will be at Poinsett Friday evening after work. Look for me.
I tried the redears over my way on a private lake and boy did we wear them out. I cleaned a few (still tired from cleaning crappie from my trip with Conway(Don)) so I gave most away but kept enough to try bream sandwiches. I can't wait until they really turn on.
Around here you need to buy them in bulk. Went to get some last weekend, and the only bait store I know of here was out. Didn't want to go to walmart and check if they had any with all my fishing stuff in the boat. They're known to run out of minnows too. Only other place I know of that sells minnows is in a rough part of town, and i'm not going in there.
RCC=Ranching Crickets Correctly. :)
