I'm still alive. Been busy. got corn planted and up. changing equipment over to harvest wheat in about 3 weeks. got to work on bean planters to plant beans after wheat. Hopefully get in some time to fish a time or two before then. Wife has a honey do list a mile long. I told her that fishing was not on the list and that that was not going to work.
where are crappie right now? I might try to catch some brim on the beds too.
PP, I have given up on the twinjector for now. have not made any plastics in months. I can't get a laminate to bond top/ bottom on baby shad stingers in any way I have tried. They just split. not a good bond. Other than some twister tails, those are really what I wanted the molds for. Really getting on my nerves. Not ready to spit out a grand on bears machine either. I bet it works but have to make a bunch of baits at the time in one color. Have not given up. just said the he77 with it for a while. tired of messing up plastic.CF

Those trash bucket woodsgoats will eat anything. first chance I get here very very soon, they will be eating lead. I just hope I can get the ammo to replace my dwindling stock in time before they eat everything in sight. Did I mention that I hate woodsgoats? When I get beans planted, we will be at the peak of the killing season. Got some reinforcements lined up this year. Calling in a friend that likes to shoot woodsgoats just for the sake of shooting them. He told me, I'm retired and just want to shoot the he77 out of some deer. I said sign right here. He and I are on the same page. I told him he could have free range and shoot at will. Dad, myself and Ricky will handle the rest of them. I am in the brainstorming faze of making a cheap ground blind for better maneuverability. some of these woodsgoats have figured out that they are safe by the highway. I am going to be in position to wear them out by the HWY this time. They really tick me off. I also have a license to kill at night with the spot light. We are also looking into a permit to buy a silencer for our sniper rifles. As long as they are still accurate with silencers at 600 yards, I will be happy. We are going to smoke their tails. Knats have not kicked up yet. If they have, they are not bad yet. Once produce gets cranked up on the sandy land, they will be unbearable up at that end of the county. You just need to find some clients south of Edenton. No Knats! I was in knat central the other day picking up semi truck from getting work done. Saw no knats there.Quote:

A 12-pounder with grape shot would be a nice addition to your arsenal. Takes a 1 lb charge of black powder, throws just under 9 lbs. up to 1,000 yards. Using 1/2" lead balls, that would put somewhere around 325 slugs on target. You won't get a second shot, but....Quote:

Hay Bennett why are some of those fields of sage white and some purple? Perry is a well know name in that part of the country. My mom was from Hobbsville NC and have heard her mention that name a few times. WOW now that's a blow out was that tire shop there in Sunbury able to help you out or where you a smart man and had a spare? When i was passing through that way Thursday morning around 630 am they were unloading those bee houses. Guess they do it before the bees wake up.

Been catching some white perch around home. Went Sunday and did pretty good. Even caught a few crappie in the process. That being said, you got any extra pink heads? I'm low, real low.
