Know DonDon has one.
I do not have one but have several buddies that do and all said there worth every penny if you cook out alot. But if you do not cookout alot stick with reg grill. Think i am going to get one cause we cook on grill 3-4 times a week in spring/summer
As good as it gets ifn you use one alot, gonna stick with my smoker.
Btw. Ya cant hide money!
Sent from my dang phone
I have leftover can money and looking to maximize my investment.......
I can't believe any of you rich folk dont have a Green Egg...
Everyone who has them loves them. I've never used one myself but would consider it if my current grill/smoker burnt out. One word of caution, never use lighter fluid in that style of smoker/grill, something about how it seals and the ceramic absorbs the odor and transfers it to your food.
Thanks Feesh. I read that online but it is tough to drop $800-1200 for a grill
Yeah, it sure is. I would bet if your patient enough you can find one at a going out of business sale or possibly on eBay at a discount. Good luck
Hey Big Debbie...can you float me a note?
Friend of mine bought one of the ones from Lowes or Home Depot last year basically the same thing. He loves that thing. He said you use that cowboy lump charcoal and can snuff it out when done because it takes so little heat to cook in it
You can use the charcoal over and over before it all burns up.
You're a tight wad...no thanks...I counted my can money up tonight and I have enough.........................................
you can find it cheaper than this if you shop but here is a good pic so you know what i am talkin about Bayou Classic Ceramic Cypress Kamado Grill - Kamado Grills at Hayneedle
If I could afford one, I would have one. Just like drift socks and depth finders...get the biggest one you can afford.
If I had rducks money......I would get two of them.....just saying lol
Never seen the bayou classic version but I can't see it begin any better than the BGE. It's well worth the price if you like to slow cook for 10-20 hours OR you wanna cook a steak at 800-900 degrees.
of mine on the Big Green Egg
And I can personally vouch for DD's cooking ability on the BGE!! He's good.
It sure looks good
Lowes and Home Depot carry a Kamodo Type Grill called an "Akorn". 300 bucks and it will do everything the BGE will.
This thread has got me wanting a BGE so bad
SOME of those ceramic cookers won;t do what the egg does. They don;t have a place for the plate setter in it. That's what lets the heat go around the food for indirect heat and slow cooking. If you don;t have thatm, all you got is a grill
Don't know how much the egg is but saw one at sportsmans and it wad 800 bucks. I looked nice
Looks good DD. Thanks for the comments. BGE is a lot cheaper than an outdoor kitchen.
Gewber u know I don't know nothing about anything
If your going to buy a cermic grill get the egg...not the knock offs.
That's what I plan on getting BigH. What the heck is a cermic grill? hahaha. I guess it is similar to ceramic.....:Rofl
