What adult you wanting to fish with?
I was gonna get my kid cousin to fish with me if noone else wanted to fish with me!
Pm Major. He is on vaction but will get back to you.
I'm pretty sure I remember Yikees saying no.
ATM is correct. The rule is clear and says everyone. Age isn't a factor when qualifying for the championship but everyone is welcome to join us at Butla.
14) Championship Qualification. New rule: To qualify to fish the championship, everyone must fish at least three (3) regular FJ tournaments. In the event that a person fishes with multiple partners and qualifies for the championship, that person can choose anyone that has fished at three regular FJ’s to fish with them in the championship. In the event that a co-angler (not boat operator) fishes three (3) regular season tournaments with another person, that co-angler also qualifies and can bring a boat and fish as an angler in the championship, however, that person's partner (if he chooses to have one) would also have to have fished three regular FJ’s. Regular entry fees of $40.00 per boat plus an optional big fish pot of $10.00 will apply to the championship.
Never a possitive, par for the coarse I guess.
I agree on the kid part 100%.....As long as they are fishing and not there to up the adults pole count. Maybe the committe can address this and revise this rule for our up coming seasons. Also think there should be a age cap on the kid rule that way some jack leg does not bring there 25 yr kid and try to pull the he/she is my legal kid. Just my 2¢
The rules were determined at the beginning of the season and we have welcomed any child that wanted to fish with us during the entire season and not just the championship. They can still come to Butla and have a big time and possibibly catch some huge fish. The kid discussion is a deep one. Do you consider a 4 year old and a seventeen year old the same because they are both minors legally? It's a complicated discussion that needs to be explored more during the off season.
Actually I was being facetious. Wasn't this issue brought up recently concerning "The B's"? It was my understanding the directors voted for kids to be able to fish; with Yikees being the only negative vote. What happened?
If your interpretation of the rules leads to some being excluded, you're probable interpreting it wrong.
This gives a whole new meaning to NKF!
OK Heads up.....I do not fish FJ's and I am not on the committee.....but I have recieved two reported posts about this thread ( folks thinking its a personal attack etc.) PLease keep your comments civil and also....If its not in the rules.....then in my opinion it is not a rule and any unwritten rules should not even be counted. If you want the rules changed then please take that up with the FJ Directors by PM. and get the rules changed or ammended. Like I said if its not in the rules as they are written.....then it really should mean nothing. This was changed or we always did it like this should not even count if its not written in the rules.
Just to clarify about the kids.........here is Rule No. 1 of the FJ Rules
1) Eligible Participants. Participation in the Crappie.com, MS FJ Series is open to anyone. There is no qualification to be registered on Crappie.com. Children are encouraged to participate
Heads up one more time....... everyone please take your comments and complaints to the FJ Directors by PM. You may not get the rules that are in place for this year changed but you can make your voices heard for rule change proposals for next year. There also will probably be some new directors elected after the Championship so you will need to talk to those folks when the time comes.

In this thread, post #32 by Major:
The hating can stop. The kids will be exempted if they're younger than 18. Seems a few people want to jump to the wrong conclusions. We are a group that wants to promote our sport and what better way than involving kids. The B's can fish as long as Wannabe has fished three.
Thanks Rees.....I could not figure out how to post that link on my phone.
WB hasn't qualified so now what?
But Ducker will qualify.
As it states in rule 1 SERIES not Championship. There is a differance.

I will say again this is not the meaning of a fruit jar.
I have asked twice today for y'all to take your complaints, criticism, suggestions, etc to the directors by PM. This thread is closed.
