Just a little groundage......
I can honestly say I have waded Butla, dead in the middle of the lake in ankle deep water. That Ranger drafts shallow but not that shallow!!
its just a river now
Glad they finally shut the spillways up in N Ms. down, the tallahachie river is finally starting to fall and is back inside the banks, i know we all love to fish , but it was flooding the h3ll out the farm land along the river.
That can't be right! Is it?
Or is that the river stage on the back of the dam? Not the lake stage?
Seems they have had a heck of a time getting good readings consistently on Butla lately.
dropped from 227 to 226. Don't know what caused that spike. It showed up in the sight that I use also.
Went by and looked around and it looks like a completely different mud hole from this time last year. Water was coming over the rocks at the gravel pit. Main lake is touching the old gravel pit water.
I dont understand/ Main lake is touching the old gravel pit water.[/QUOTE]
If u enter the pit and hang to left follow it around you'll see where lake has come over the rocks from that side. Sorry for the confusion.
o I gotcha,that is high.
Don't worry Rees--Butla will still be up come FJ time:)
I might try a Gill net:D
Course I'm set up a wee bit better then I was last year:D
You'll do fine, amazing what a difference a year can make aint it?
That's the trurh
What's wrong with the graph ? Looks like on about April 11th it rained like hell and the lake went from 212 to almost 228.
