I know we just finished spring camp but the fall one always rolls around faster!
I'm game for wherever!!
Who wants to run it this time? Billbob mentioned Greers ferry but would it be good in the fall?
The only two we.have had has been at nimrod in September and hot . I would like to have it in October after it cool's off a little and a little better fish!!!!!
Who wants to head it up?
I think greers sounds good. I've never been to a crappie. Com camp because they have been so far away
greers or ouachita sounds good.
I agree with Greers if I get to fish with Creekslick. heheheh
Most of the campsite will close on Greers after September 15. If I had more time I would love to head up a camp here on Greers but with 4 jobs I don't have time to sleep.
Greers would be good for me, but should we look south so that we spread it out? Or we could go to Lake Poinsett and have RCC give us a tutorial on how to catch paper crappie.
September for sure.
Actually this is an excellent idea. There would be lot's less fishing and more visiting and getting to know other members. Besides most people on here have never caught crappie like those and may be excited to catch one that small. With 660 acres of water no one could go off and hide in their secret honey hole, unless someone slipped off to Craighead, a fishery unequalled in the surrounding mile.
i know we just had camp at dardenele but it seemed to work well and had good attendance
RCC could put on a clinic at Lake Poinsett: How to catch the elusive three pound ghost crappie!
I guess chasing a bird around the woods ain't as fun for some as it is others. I suck at it but I enjoy it. I went that morning and then caught my limit of crappie at the river that afternoon. I would like to make it to a camp sometime just not on the opening weekend of deer or turkey season.
It wouldnt hurt my feelins to go back to Dardanelle. Then id get to fish it twice a year.
One of the guys down there at camp who fishes Dardanelle regularly said the fishing was off there during the summer months. Fall, winter and spring were good just not the summer time. How would the fishing be there during the time that is being looked at for fall camp?
I think the fall fishing would be ok.....
Summer time fishing can be great there also!
Dadanelle gets my vote centrally located, great facilities, good fishin. Late Sept sounds good.
