I have used Arkansas Marine there in the Benton/Bryant area and had good results. You might try them
Bill, BRM if you don"t mine the drive and I know he do you right
I use Ed's Boat Shop in Searcy
Check with Union City Marine, in Tennessee. I took my E-tec to them for some warranty work and 3 year maint. Very reasonable and fast. I also know a few people that use them and are pleased.
I know its not Arkansas but close.
Anything I need done gets done at Riverside Marine. Super nice guys, very reasonable and capable, and honest as the day is long. They generally turn me around pretty quick too. I'd strongly encourage you to take it there.
Tom booth is REALLY GOOD!!! Only guy I let tounh my motor anymore.

Is Riverside Marine off of the Scott HIWY?

We take all of our boats to Riverside Marine. We are pretty hard on our boats with the work that we do and they require quite a bit of maintenance and repair. They are very fast and do the job right the first time. They do great work. We have used other places that I will not name. Once we found Riverside, we have not taken a boat to any other places.
Just took my boat and motor to H2O sports on Rixey Rd, NLR. I HOPE they do good work. Had to find a merc mechanic. Motor missing at low throttle........tried to change plugs, and noticed it had an air cleaner (what's up with that?) and that the cleaner foam was eaten up! Got online, they say it's a common problem and Merc knows about it and might replace free if taken to an authorized Merc mechanic. It might be missing because of that, or might have fouled plugs, but a 115hp 4 stroke was put together by aliens! What a compact pile of stuff in there! Plus the book talks about special tools, and torquing to certain specs, and it got over my pay grade fast, so I took it in.
On the PLUS side, my Minnkota 315-D onboard charger has one bank that won't ever go to maintenance mode. Brought it up on here, and it was suggested that Bank #2 had some kind of permanent drain on it. That turned out to be incorrect. So I filled out a Service Contact Email at MinnKota website, and they said call 'em. I did, and after discussion they said it had 3 year warranty, bought in 2011, and they'd send me a brand new one!!! I don't even have to send mine back first. Top notch service!
Hope the big motor is the same way.
Has anyone used Props-Plus in North East AR?
Their trolling motor man has been doing that for a long time; used to have his own shingle out. I've had good results from him as well, but I wouldn't necessarily encourage you to expect the same with regard to your outboard. I could tell the story of a personal experience that may or may not make you want to go pick up your rig, but I don't want to bash. Feel free to PM me if you want to hear it.
Sorry don't know anybody to work on your boat up that way but I'll never own an older boat motor again. That break out another thousand most always comes into effect on older motors and with the technology they have on today's motors (much lighter gas sipping 4 strokes, that aren't carbarated, plug fouling nightmares to start!) I can't see any other route to take than a new motor. I like a 90 horse though, good size, good fuel economy too.
I haven't had them do any motor work on mine, but I have bought parts from them. I needed a gasket for my carburetor. Because I tore it in half taking the carb off. They only had them in a rebuild kit for around $60. They had a leftover one and let me have it for free. Also had them repair2 props that had pieces broken off. Charged me $60 for the 2.
Thanks-I have a shift cable that needs to be adjusted or replaced. He is a little closer than BRM.
But I need the money worse. ;)
I might just come your way.
