BM Tuesday 4/16
Attachment 122805Attachment 122806Attachment 122807Made the trip back to BM to see if I could hone in on the specs and avoid the others. Although I did manage to avoid all but a few bass and ring perch, the shellcrackers and other assorted perch/bream were the king today. Caught shellcrackers up to 12" and one ring perch that was 15". Altogether the perch totaled 61 and the crappie totaled 18. All were caught on 1/32 jigs and assorted plastic in water as shallow as 6" and just as Saturday, the different species were on the same stretches. On a few occasions, I'd catch a perch and then a crappie in the same brush on back-to-back casts. Mike

It seemed that I caught a lot more yellow perch and pike there prior to it's closing. Sounds like they are back, nice job.

In that cove where I caught the biggest ring perch, I also caught the big pike and not far from there is where I caught the 8, 5 bass Saturday. Sorry, no pictures of the big perch. Didn't think much of it at the time. Later in the day I had one even bigger follow my bait right up to the boat and turn away as I lifted it out of the water.Attachment 122927 Mike (sorry, after posting, I realized you couldn't see what I put on the map. The lower mark is where I caught the perch and the upper mark is as far "up" the lake as I went Tuesday.
