Logan Martin today
Me and my buddy finally got to fish Logan today. Fished the lower end, started out vertically jigging slater jigs on the outer edges of docks caught some nice ones. After the sun got high that bite shut down, we had to start shooting the docks with 1/16 oz curly tail grubs in acid rain color had to put it in the shade to get a bite. We managed to catch 32 keepers !!! http://img.tapatalk.com/d/13/04/14/yvegasyz.jpg

Going to Logan in the am for my first time.

Is that a bunch of whites in there? I've caught hundreds of crappie this year and only three were white crappie! I need to work on learning to shoot docks (been telling myself that for years).
-
To my surprise those were mostly white's .. Shooting docks for me, is the way to go on Logan !!!!
-
Shooting docks not that hard, just takes a little practice. You tube has some great how to video's!!!!!
-
Nice slabs. I used 1/32 jigs under docks in the afternoon and just wore them outo too. Bobby Garland green with red flake. The wife used minnows and kept pace.

Nice looking haul! Great work!
-
What kind of docks were you finding hem on (deep, shallow) or I'd it matter
-
Excellent job, those are some great looking fish!
-
Thanks for the report and the pics.

usafret99, The docks we we're fishin was 6 to 8ft of water. Once the sun got up we focused on the larger docks, docks that were in closed or had a pontoon boat or something on it anything that provided shade.

Gonna give it a go Saturday! Thanks

Nice pile of crappie congrats.

I caught the majority on the main channel cause the creeks were muddy and running too fast. I target 10 foot docks this time of year but will hit all of them with a cast or five before running on to the next.
