I picked a spot close enough to the bank that I could attempt to bass fish while the father-in-law crappie fished. I idled down it about 200 yards and found some structure, turned and dropped the trolling motor to get back on the structure which was 50 yards behind me by the time i shut down and got the trolling motor down. Before i could get there someone about 1/4 mile away jumps up on plane comes over and drops off of plane just on the other side of the structure right in front of me and starts putting spider rig poles out. He is coming straight towards us. I turn to let him have the area and start going the same way as him about 50 yards ahead of him. I'm going slow beating the bank from about 15 yards out and in 12 feet of water. He comes up behind me, swerves around me and cuts in front of me. My father-in-law saw I was getting hot and said to let it go. I was thinking I could throw a rattle trap on 65# braid and catch his rear deck and let him put me. If my in-law had not been there it would have gotten ugly.
This was not this guys first time out. His boat was set up for crappie with all the bells and whistles and you would think if he spends any time on Blood River as crowded as it was Friday and Saturday he would have learned some manners
