Mike Evans

Had a heart attack:yikes last nite. He's now in the hospital in Salina. Very few details as I just got the call from Marilyn. Prayers needed!! Started feeling bad last nite & didn't wait long to get help. <*)}}}><

FYI, Mike & Marilyn own & operate M&M Lodging in Cawker City. 'VERY FINE' folks. <*)}}}><

My wife and I stayed at M&M and there are not many people nicer than Mike and Marilyn. We hope your back on your feet soon and feeling better.

Whish I had good news. Mike had a 'Killer' heart attack Sunday. Was in the Salina hospital when it struck. Otherwise he would not of had a chance. VERY sick man as heart rate is rapid & on oxygen. Getting IV's full of pain killers & liver functions weak. Looking at a triple bypass when he gets more stable. Marilyn is doing as well as she can & thanks for all the prayers. Keep them coming! <*)}}}><

Mike is better but still a ways to go before we can take a breath. He is awake, at times, and eating. Still kinda lost to what is happening & confused to where he is at. IV's still plugged in. Family is getting some rest but still close. <*)}}}><

Thanks for keeping us informed Chatt. Keeping Mike and Marilyn in my thoughts and prayers.

Got a message from Marilyn saying Mike was moved out of ICU, walking a little and enjoying all the visitors. Sat. nite about 2am, was rushed back into ICU because of fluid build-up in lungs. Again, she thanks all for thots and prayers sent. <*)}}}><

Mike's heart stopped last nite at 11:30pm. They got him back and done emergency open heart surgery this morning. Replaced 2 valves and a triple bypass. 6 hours. Marilyn is just wore out not getting any rest. Wont be going home any time soon. <*)}}}><

Hope Marilyn does not get to wore out and her health stays good. More prayers on the way.

But 'GOOD NEWS':biggrin:biggrin:biggrin!!! Came thru the surgery as well as could be expected. Took off the oxygen tube & pulled the plug on the pace maker. Marilyn, sounding MUCH better. Even got her to laugh a little. Prayers do work!! <*)}}}><
