Any one with 2 across seating. How far apart are your pedestal bases? Have 2 to put in my boat, but I want to make sure I get them far enough apart so my seats dont hit eachother when we turn. Any help would be appreciated.

I am extremely interested also. I have been thinking about adding two bases to my boat...are their any downsides to this that I am not aware of. Any advantage to a double seat rig?
Look up extpoleperch.com
Oops www.eztpoleperch.com
Cumberland has some pretty nice ones too, but they are a little more than the eztpole perches.
Those look good I may order one today. Is there anyone that has had a bad experience with this product?
It's dee nice and simple. And the umbrella holder was nice last year...
Get you 2 five gallon buckets and set them upside down, shuffle them until you get the room on each side you need. Or set seat on bucket for measuring, before you drill any holes.
Hope this helps. Ezpoleperch is approximately 31". I also made one my myself that is 30" that works fine. Attachment 121337Attachment 121338Attachment 121339
Thanks Shady. That I can understand 32" hole to hole. 16" from the center hole.
Dub-L-Seat. I have one and it is very sturdy and well built.
I just put two in my boat, and I think mine are about 28 inches apart, just make sure you don't get them too far apart or you will feel like you're setting on the edge of the boat.
I have the Cumberland and the thing that sold me was I can go between the seats and the bar is only four inches tall and want trip you.

I use and sell these. You can use em for lots if other things as well. Hunting, camping, tailgating, BBQing, and I also use them as office furniture to display my boat seats.
Bill, I got to ask, why are you using the double down when you have 3 pedestal bases in your boat?
Looks like with the bases in your boat pedestals and seats would be easier to maneuver around while fishing?
The double downs are great, I have two buddies that have them.
It seems like every tournament we fish, or every weekend when I can fun fish, the wind blows like crazy, and I don't like wobbling around on a pedestal. The frame is twice as stable in rough conditions and doesn't make you feel as wobbly afterwards. Plus I can take the frame off the pedestal and put it exactly where I want it. Closer to the rack if a shorter person is with me, or farther away if they're taller. Left or right to adjust for the difference in a persons weight, etc. I can even put it on the rear deck when pulling cranks or long lining. Bottom line is the frames are much more versatile, and you don't have to drill holes in your boat if you don't have three across seating from the factory.
Makes sense, thanks for explaining this.
Someone asked how much they were, I think they are around $100, but Bill can tell us for sure.
Bill, this may sound like an odd question but... Does anyone make a frame seat like that that has only one seat?
I have a large open area in a Jon boat with a floor in it that would be ideal for a third pedestal seat. I had been thinking of mounting a pedestal base but a setup like this would be super versatile. However, 2 seats is a bit of overkill for the area where I want to put it...
I don't have any, but yes they do make a single seat model. I can get em tho.
I sell lots of these to duck hunters. They run them long ways in the boat (from front to rear) instead of side by side so two extra hunters can shoot out of either side of the boat, and have 360 rotation.
This is what I did when measuring for my Dub-L-Seat. Then I put the center seat post in and measured to the center of the bucket to get my distance. I bought a dub-l-seat and believe it is the sturdiest of the rigs built like this. There was only 2 draw backs with them. 1 was the time it took to get it after I placed the order, but this may be resolved now that the company has switched ownership. 2nd was price, but it is quality manufacturing.
i have a lowe that has three seat mounting holes on the front deck , i can mount one in the middle hole like any bass boat or bring the back seat up front and use the two outside holes so we can set side by side to crappie fish , ill have to get a tape to let you know how wide the front deck is and how far apart the holes are
I have 175 tracker and they are 28.5 in. c-c
I have seen the single seats in trout boats. Don't know where they came from. Bill probably supplied those as well.
What type of boat is that in the pic with the double seats? Excel or Express?
