"Gnats are gnats"???
Nice catch
very nice!!
over 20 checks that I know of fishing with the other so yea feesh with what you want they will all catch feesh of course it helps to know a little about speed ,color, depth, and boat control. More about presentation than who feeshes with what:biggrin
Totally agree with using what we like. A lot of fishing for me is using what I have confidence in. I'm no tournament guy and not that good at this crappie feeshing thing. I'm catching way more big fish since I started using Donnie's gnats. I'm catching lots of limits. I'm happy, happy, happy!
A pinto will get you there but I'm gonna ride in a limo.
I have fished with both and my preference is more about who I buy from, Donnie has a fine product that he does personally.
Really funny. At the Washington weigh in when they stuck the microphone in your face and asked how you did it, you said you caught them on "gnats".
Even funnier. The man that makes that "similar product" weighed four fish that day. And he has a cabin there and it's his home lake.
Product or presentation? You be the judge.
In summary, it's not good manners to come on a thread and bash someone else's product.
Dang!!!
I prefer crappielogic myself. I know a thing or two about hand ties from fly-fishing. U can spot a good one from a mile away. And WB has movie star hair---I'm mean ugly

Does anyone know exactly when and where gnats got started?Never heard em called gnats until i joined CDC in 2005,i met Randall Bloodworth from Grenada he kept mentioning gnats well we finally met at spring camp and he had some, well i had some and i had been useing and tying for the last 20yrs but i called mine streamers. We became good friends and would exchange ideas.Randall passed last yr. But i am glad to see Donald take them to the next level Good going.
Fished was something very similar in the green carp days 30 years ago, used he as a trailer on a 1 foot leader behind a big bait when fishing schooling fish in the summer.
Donnie,
Do you still have your facebook page? I want to send you a big fish picture of a 3lb+ that my wife caught two weeks ago on one of your gnats.
CrappieLogic all the way!
Anyone that has experience tying jigs can tye a equally efficient gnat. Donnie is a great guy, and really takes good care of you guys. He's doing a great job of trying to support a family. If I didn't tye my own I would deffintiely be buying from him.
I would like to add this as well. confidence in your lures and presentation is 98% of crappie fishing. Capps and Coleman use straight abardeen gold minner hooks and they have won the crappie masters 7 times so i would imagine they have a lot of confidence in there set up and im sure they have never used a gnat.
also I would like to add I googled the word gnat the day I tied the first one and a teaser, streamer,or tippet never popped up so I decided to call my little hand tied sickle hook a gnat ...thats it ..big woop
I'll be coming to Sardis in just a few more days, are there any place close to the Dam. say within 15 mile or so, that I could pick up one of Donnie's kit box of Nats. I would love to give them a try.
