was in sam's club sunday with my wife for a few items, went to check out and tried to pay with my VISA card.......clerk tells me they dont accept VISA............only MC, DISC, and AMEX!!! how crazy is that?

Clerk must have been mistaken.
They don't take visa in Virginia either. Never have.
They have never taken Visa here in Tupelo
Sams has never taken Visa at any of their locations anywhere!
Your right, they dont take it in Memphis either. They will take a VISA/Debit card though and run it as a debit. I don't know that I have ever seen an actual Mastercard.Quote:

They used to only take Discover, then they opened it up to MC a couple years ago. I didn't know they took amex, course I don't have one of those anyway. :)
I understand that its about the rebate arrangement. Sams will give only a 1/4% rebate on Discover. My VISA rebate card gives me a 1% minimum, 2% on gas and 3% on certain commodities. Sams won't give a higher rebate so they simply don't take VISA. Sams will take my VISA for gas and gives me the 2% rebate for the car. Go figure?Quote:
