CACA Lake Conway Results!

I first wanted to Apologize to everyone there I forgot one of the most important parts of the tournament and that was after we crowned the top three winners we were suppose to discuss how they fished and what they did different from the rest. I'm sorry maybe the winners can give us a little insight on this thread on how they won?? The weather held out for us all day! Temps were in the 40's and a light northeast wind around 5-10 with no rain or storms!! But the bite was off compared to the last couple days!!

We had 17 boats for the tournament!! Thank you all that came to the Weigh in! Don't forget about the upcoming tournament on lake Dardanelle we should have some good prizes for the top three teams! All entry fees will go to the winners choice of Charity!!!

Congrats guys.

Congratulations to you all. Enjoyed meeting some of you at the weigh in. That 2.66 lber and 2.58lber were hogs. I have not fished a crappie tournament, but I think next year I will give it a try. A lot of good folks and fun. Good stuff

Congratulations everybody.....looks like several teams were able to get onto the big mammas. I'd like to know what technique the top teams managed to get those great average fish weights!

Way to go Donald, you fished it to win it. I guess we need to start calling you the lake Conway crappie master.

That was another good tournament! Jason, thanks for taking the time and putting this together!
If you guys haven't fished a tournament, you really should. You will meet some fine people. I had a real good conversation with CMJ yesterday and got to talk to CrappieGreg for a few minutes. Greg was kind enough to give a little information to help me the next time I'm on Conway, and I will go back and fish that lake again.
I did not get over and meet CrappiePro, but I will take care of that at Spring Camp.
As far as catching fish, I could not find them yesterday. I had one bite all day and here's a picture if that fish

Congrats, you guys proved yourselves yesterday. Fishing was tough, I fished for a couple hours and didnt get a bite. Nice to meet you Arcrappie.

Congrats to all the winners, and to those who fished. Jason, thanks to you, and anyone who helped you, for all you have done and are doing to make these tournaments happen. Great for the sport! I would like to see you designate a photographer to take pictures of the winners and their fish at the next tournament, (and post on C.com) and also share with everyone how they caught them. Again, good job, man!

Thanks Jason for putting on the tournament you did a great job. The weather hurt a lot of the fisherman's catch. The wind was brutal to. My fish were caught around spawning areas on brush piles I put out, last week I caught a lot of good females in those areas but only managed one big one Saturday. Color didn't matter I caught them on three different colors and some on minnows. I bounced all around the lake and fished 35 to 40 different piles from Palarm to Pierce to the Dam. Well see you guys next tournament thanks. The picture is of my seven I weighed the biggest 2.39 the smallest 1.70Attachment 120024

Thanks JasonW...that was a great Tourney and I look forward to more. Myself and Greg fished main lake live Cypress trees we had allot of luck in prefishing. The fish we caught were holding tight in pockets on the leeward windy side of the trees. We power fished as many trees as we could in 5-8 feet deep before moving onto the next. We used dark colored body/chart tail tubes with 1/8th oz heads tipping with a nibble. It was a slow bite and we only had 11 bites all day but when we did get thumped it was a good one. Water temps 48-50 degrees. Here is a pic of 8 of our biggest. Big Thanks to all who participated.

Congrats Don on an impressive win and all who competed. Lake Conway produces some big fish and weighins proved that. Lake Conway is only gonna get better and I hope to fish it for the first time soon. Congrats to all again!

Congrats guys wished I could have been there but had to be out of state working.

I'm not talking to him between now and the Dardanelle trip. Maybe I can weigh a fish!!! :biggrin

Man I got 44 years of bad voodoo to combat.

Great job on the fish guys, it was a tough day for some of us. My fishing partner and I fished til bout noon and never caught a fish. Thanks for sharing info on your catch
