The Last Sting of Winter/Conway 3-21-13
As I fished along today through the cypress trees of Lake Conway I felt each pelt of sleet take a little of my body warmth with it. The wind, sleet, snow, and rain took it's toll on me as I watched the water temps fall below 54 degrees...I wondered If the crappie were just as crazy as me and if they knew what I was going through up there trying to catch them. I thanked the Good Lord for allowing me to fish through another winter and I realized I was feeling the last sting's of Old Man Winter. Tight Lines

You're tough as nails, Russ. You could catch 'em in a blizzard!

I feel your pain...luckily that sleet doesn't penetrate clothes like rain.

Enjoy that sleet and cold while you can Russ! I hope this is the last of it for a while..

You my friend are the best crappie fisherman in central Arkansas you catch them in 110 degree heat as well as a late winter/early spring cold front. Good read and pics as usual sir.
