I just picked up a new 596c hd Di Yesterday.
Bass Pro has the 596C HD DI on sale right now for 399.00. I did quite a bit of comparing models and for what I needed I felt it was a great buy.
I was going to see How many people are running that Unit and see if they had any tips or tricks as far as setting it up goes. Like the settings you might have the best luck with.
I mainly fish in less than 20 ft. of water. Any Advice would be greatly Appreciated!
I think the 596c HD DI is the same unit as the 597c HD DI Combo (without GPS Chartplotting or card slots)....

Rickie is right. The 597ci HD DI is just like the 596c HD DI units that you both bought (except the 597ci HD DI also has GPS). That is a long thread but has some good information in it.
I will have to read up on that tonight, Yeah When I was comparing units I seen that other than the gps They are the same. I appreciate everyone's input so far.
I had one two years ago and really liked it a lot. I sold it only because I wanted another 898 on front to network with the 898 I had on the console. The 596 gave me some really good DI images. Play with it and when you feel more comfortable with it you will be very happy with it. Have fun!
Thanks for the advice Kenny, I still haven't had time to get it mounted. I will keep you guys posted. I should have it ready to go one day this upcoming week.
I think you will really like it. I've had one about 2 years now. I have mine mounted up front /tranducer on the trolling motor. I have a rubber boot betwenn the motor and transducer and have never had any interferance on any frequency. I do like to use the 2d and DI split screen feature. I can see my jigs on the 2d screen but not on the di screen. I'm still learning on this thing though.
Yeah, I am looking forward to getting it mounted and actually getting it in the water....
I might get a chance to hook it up and finally get to use it this next week. I can't wait......
I have the 596 up front and the 597 on the console, i like them both, i don't get any Interference with mine either. I think you will love it, i'm still learning and trying to figure all the options out also.
I actually Just got it all wired up today. I can't wait to try it out one day this week! I am pretty sure I will be more than satisfied.
