Palomar
Sometimes a polymer and sometimes I tie a loop knot, so the jig can swing a little. Single poling is not my strong suit, so I'm all ears here.
I use the "Chilly knot". The one my granddaddy used. I think it is called a loop knot.
I use a Fast Snap.

I use those no-knot thing's in large size because of the way I rig my jig's.I use umbrella tubes and insert my jig's so the skirt cover's my head not threaded on like most folk's so I have to take my jig off my line to change skirt's.This sound's like alot of trouble to change skirts but I'll catch alot of fish before I wear a skirt out I also don't have to pay extra for painted jig's the tubes head color becomes my jig head color.
loop .
Loop knot...let's the jig move a little more and........more jig action is always good :biggrin
I use this one most of the time.

I use an improved cinch, like Rees to pull it tight and hold the jig at a 90, also use Bang garlic, they wack em good
Palomer. I agree that you want the jig at 90 degrees.
Improved cinch
Loop or cross lock snap
no knot fast snap in medium.
I have tried both the loop and the tight knot it is one i learn from my daddy . It will hold the jig at 90 . There are times they both are good . I like the loop cause i can tie it with my eyes closed . The other knot i have to see . This week i am using the daddy knot . If your moving slow you need it if your moving it more the loop is fine . So it is up to the fisherman . I know no help at all . So what's new . It's specks fault and wannabe is ugly .
Polymer good strong knot.
Loop x5
Double improved clinch!Tie it the same as improved clinch but i put the line through the hook eye twice.I wet it,tighten her down, slide the knot to the back of the eye toward the point and put a drop of super glue on it. Same with the tube or jig body. 1 drop on the collar right near the head. That sucker will sit perfectly level for a while!Takes a minute but I ain't in no hurry anyway! Word of warning:Don't glue your finger to the jig. It can happen!!:twocents
I like a San Diego jam knot,It can be tied single or double. Some of those jig heads and hooks have too small of a hole for me to get a double line thru.
I have never used anything but a loop knot . If you use anything else do you have to realign the jig everytime you get a bite ?:scratchhead
I'm gonna google that one.
I did, and gonna try it on my trolling rigs where I tie the fast snap on em.

Loop knot
Polamer with a dab of super glue, especially on braid that likes to puff up and come loose.
