Maybe a telephone pole? I found some type pole in Nickell, not as tall as the one you found though. If you don't mind me posting some I'll put a few up.
It's an underwater antenna for aliens...:yikes
Hey kosmo...what's the double vertical line running just to the left of the boat track in the water column......??
(Are you getting a reflection off something on the left side of you transom..??)..
Rickie
Almost looks like somebody sitting on a bar stool, holding a fishing rod up in their right hand.
Thanks Kosmo, I didn't want to hijack your post.

justinp61, looks like its maybe a flag pole. was the lake at summer pool when you took that picture?
I'm going on memory now so this can't be 100% There used to be a metal pipe that stuck up out in the mouth of Nickel. For a couple of yrs. there was some kind of work boat anchored to it. Makes me wonder if it may have broke or came apart some how.:dono

This one is about half way back in the bay.
If I remember correctly, years ago (probably 25 or more) there was some sort of green metal pipe about halfway out in Sugar. There's all sorts of junk out there from before the lake was formed and construction items from the building. Also lots of stuff that braniacs thought would be a good idea to stick in the lake for one purpose or another... like the metal culverts sticking out of the sand bar down near Pine Bluff. Buried years ago by a duck hunter to use as a blind (except they stay flooded because there's no bottom to them) but now they like to collect unsuspecting props and lower units at summer pool.
That shallower one could be a spud pole left over from a floater duck blind that somebody had out at one point.
