They carry everything Mr. Jim. You can get your fishing gear, hockey skates, camping equipment, guns and baseball gloves all under one roof.

How are the prices compared to others? Just saw the article and live about 2 miles from where they are putting it. Wife will not be to happy!
Pretty good store.They ship their orders quickly on most of the stuff I've ordered and have sales often.There goes some more money!!LOL!!
Good to hear,got a feeling they will be closing the BP when the super store opens that put it twice the distance from current store plus i dont shop in none of the mega stores. Academy will be closer than bp.
I'm with you Jim, BP will lose me when they move downtown.
Where will it be located? I know where Lowes and Walmart are.

Academy is a awesome store sell it all from salt water gear to walleye gear anything you want they got it of course it may vary with the location

Academy is a great store. I stopped in one in Pearl, Ms area while I was visiting and ended up buying a nice Frabil Rainsuit (Bibs & Parka) for $160 out the door! Stuffed it into my suitcase to fly home. Would have mailed it if I had to. Couldn't pass up the deal!

I know there's a BPS in Pearl, but did not know they had an Academy. Got an Academy less that two miles from my house on County Line Rd.
Maj- Might not have been Pearl. It was somewhere around Jackson though. I stayed in Pearl and thought it was close.!

I stopped in one last year just to look around since I'd never been in one. I liked it so well I'm stopping back by on the way back north.

Stopped by the new Collierville store this morning. Very nice staff that are interested in what customers want them to stock. I told him a section of bandit 300s in crappie colors in the crappie isle. They had a few on the plug isle. Bought a couple for 4.99 each.
Saw the had their house brand H2O baits that look pretty good for 3.99. Might pick up a couple and see if the run true.
I like their prices better than Bass Pro and they seem to put a lot of stuff on sale. I also buy from their online site. Just got 2 36 inch drift socks for $14 each. Best price I could find. Don't confuses them with Sports Academy. Which I think is a different store. I think you will like them...
