Panasonic brand batteries will not work in the remote. Also be sure you get CR2450N....if it does not have the N.....it will not work
Thanks G, didnt know that about the N
Yep on the N....It does not say that in the manual.....but its got to have the N
Glad you mentioned that Rees, better get some spares before mine craps out on the water
They last longer than you think i read mine out with a vom meter first,
When it starts to run down, you'll know it. You will think your Terrova has gone nuts.
And make sure you have a Phillips head screw driver that fits the remote in the boat.
Yep they last a long time.......your remote also has a low battery indicator on it......it automatically comes on when your battery starts getting low

My remote has a flat head slot, I opened it with a penny in my living room the night I got it
Tried to open mine with a quarter yesterday and that didnt work, its a flat head, think Major may have found some meds.
Old Ipilot remotes had phillips the newer ones have slotted.
Had to change mine on the water at the Chotard FJ & it took a phillips.
mine takes a phillips also
Hopefully everyone has a took kit on the boat anyway.
Yep Maj on meds , starting to spell like DD
Can't find one with no dang N on it:banghead:

I got mine at radio shack. It was in a green package ( maybe their brand). It didn't have the N on the package but opened before I bought it and the battery had the N on it.
Duracell I got at Walgreens didn't have N behind number but in fine print it did. Put in and it worked then put it back in package for backup.

Bill I think the N signifys that the battery has a small rim on it.....maybe major remembers, I think he was the one that originally told me about this.
