After filling out all the paperwork and waiting and waiting, and getting shown into an exam room the pain doc came in and said he doesn't take Tricare patients. Wish they had told me that up front.

Now days when you make an appointment you need to ask if they accept your insurance.......a lot of them will not take certain ones, its a bummer

I do, but apparently my referring doc did not.

That sucks a big one! A lot of docs don't accept Medicare patients anymore.

That ain't good but at least they told you before treating you. Had my Dentist refer me to a specialist that treated me then sent me the bill telling me they didn't accept my insurance. Now I check before I follow up on any referal.
