Price was right, so I ordered the aluminum/stainless advanced DIY kit#ou812, 4 holder rod kit X2. When I unpackaged this is what I found. The instructions were in Chinese or some foreign language, so I am at a loss of how I am going to assemble them. Ideas anyone?

You're gonna need a mill, a lathe, a bender, and somebody who knows what they're doing. A little more health insurance might be a wise choice as well.

That's be my luck that they would leave out the mounting hardware, never fails that the box missing the nuts bolts, screws and washers shows up at my house.
Having faced difficulty doing these projects before, the only thing I could come up with was to carry the instructions down to the local chinese restaurant and have someone to read them to me. When I got there, I asked the owner to read them to me and he said, "you buy mu gu gai pan and I read you directions". After I had bought and ate the mu gu gai pan, he read me 2 lines and said "you come back tomorrow and buy flied lice and I read you rest of directions". Those 2 lines got me this far. I wish I could figure out what to do next so I wouldn't need to eat chinese everyday until I get finished.

KrappieKG had a nice looking set made out of pvc. I saw his rig at gander mtn at NLR and introduced myself. He's probably one of the first people I met from crappie.com. This was several years ago.Quote:

What did you use to drill the hole with, hole saw?
Yes. Checked it with a B&M handle and it had a little play. Hopefully it is enough to dip and still have room. The hole is 1 3/16. May need to go to 1 1/4. That is 1 inch thick stock. 3/4 would have been easier to deal with and it would still have plenty of room to drill and tap the bottom for the adjustment bolt.Quote:
