Awesome John! I see a shopping trip and a pink rod in your future. Over the years, all of us get to share in watching her become that fisherwoman. We cant wait
Congrats John!!!
"wow"
Hey John!!! Congratulations!!!
That's great news!!
Enjoy every bit of it
Congrats!!!!
I've often said "grandchildren is God's reward for not killing your own kids"......not that I would.
Wonderful news John! Take it from one who knows, grandkids are the best. Spoil her rotten.
Congrats on your grandchild! She'll be ready to fish before you know it!
Congratulations! :)
Congrats papa John. You gonna have to get a car seat for the boat now lol
Thanks guys, still trying to get used to that word grandpa , hahaha
A car seat is on my to get list, along with that pink fishing rod
John,
Build her one yourself. That way you can take pride in knowing where it is going and she will have it for the rest of her life.
Here is a rod I just finished for my daughter. I know it is one of a kind. It was built on a St. Croix Metallic Fuscia blank. Tha butt wrap pattern is a right facing chevron. I put her name in the middle in Sharpie. Guide eyes are purple. Just an idea.

very nice lookin butt wrap rich, daughter will be really happy to use that rod
Yup Rich, you do excellent work. Best not let Carol see this post...she gonna want one o them.
I do like the idea of building my own fishing rods, think it would be a fun hobby...........now if I coan only find the time...........someday
John,
I was the exact same way. When am I going to find time? I do some farming, manage some hunting land, fish, hunt, work, have 6 year old.......
Then, I decided to try it. I enjoyed it enough to where I would "find" the time to do it. Take the time you watch TV and build rods. When you get up on sunday and have a cup of coffee. Outside on the porch. You would be surprised how many 10 minute sessions you can "find".
