I got a huge loasd delivered and sorted out what I wanted. There is another full truck load for someone to get in my yard. First one to get here can have it. PM and I'll post directions as I'm 4 miles from Lake Nimrod. Please all I ask is you take all of the second load.
It is 1.25'' to 4'' diameter plastic pipe. I am building a bunch of bucket/pipe condos. Got more pipe than I need and willing to share.

Yes it will fit , it is anywhere from 2 to 10' , but most inbetween and cuts easy. Arkansasbowhunter called but if he backs out I'll call if you send a PM with a #. I will check to see if we can get you a load if your interested. LMBarnett wants some pipe too and we are checking for him also.

You will be OK out of the cove if you go straight to river cut ,not east towards creek stump field. I used to fish Bass tournaments a low pool (342 msl) and run wide open across to river and folks could not believe it. If you run east instead of due south you could be in trouble.Quote:

The stop sign was on a tree straight across from Carter Cove.........if you went straight to that stop sign, you' be in the river channel. Then you could go left or right in deep water. But, as you say, if you veered off to the right as you went that way, you hit a stump field. The sign was there in the 60's and early 70's...........not sure about after that.
Catahoula, they just finished drawing it down 2 years ago. It's only been back full a year or two at most. The retired dam master told me some time back that they originally wanted to do it every 5 or 10 years, but haven't. In my opinion, the intake pipe for Plainview probably has something to do with that. If that gets out of the water in low conditions that's a problem. But........Nimrod would know a lot more than I do about any drawdown plans.
You've obviously got a connection in your area and I'd like to make one in my area...fort smith area. Any advice on who to talk to about getting left over pipe. What is that pipe used for outside of crappie condos?
The management plan orginally was set up to have a 5' partial drawdown to 337 msl every 5 years. But it was more than 10 years since last drawdown and heard there were no full drawdowns (332 msl ) planned . I hope they pull it down again on schedule but who knows. It was in 2010 so this will be third full year so 2015 would be 5th year but I would'nt hold my breath , more likely won't for many years.. The goverment works in ways we can't understand.Quote:
