you should check the fuel line big h was probably feeding that thing snack cakes instead of gasoline. Done got the fuel line full of crumbs
If its a 7.3 check the oil. If its gets a half a quart low a lot of the time it don't want to crank.
its 5.4 gas--just checked the fuel pump--it no hum--so it's a bad fuel pump
don't have the time right now to fix myself so will have it pulled up to hernando and get it changed.
Be sure to check fuel pump relay. Probably out under hood separate from fuse block. First thing to check before spending money for pump.

Thanks--was gonna change it as well--I do hear a click when key is turned--but can't say what it is.
Mine did the same thing last week. Running perfectly and PFFFT just turned off. $1400 later they replaced the injector drive motor. As far as where to take it......the nearest river sounds like a good place to me!! Set the cruise and bail out and then call your insurance man.
Don't have to worry about injector pump. It's a gas burner.
yep ifn it were diesel id be hosed--dont know a thing bout them. That's one good thing about a motor--if it's not acting up and it dies it's one of a couple of things
Fire, fuel, or electrical--hardest part is figuring out which and getting to it:) Luckily Im small enough I can stand up underneath the beast:Rofl

Gauge could be jacked up. I've had one go out on me and thought I had a half tank but nooo empty as my pocket book lol
Pour some gas down the carb and see if it will fire. If it does fill the washer bottle with gas and put the hose in the carb. Drive it home, just keep pushin the water button.
Since my first full fill up I go my miles not the gauge-learned that on my first car. Still pretty sure its the fuel pump. Will know Friday.
