Hello from Montana
Hello everybody. I am obviously new to this forum but not to crappie fishing. I was born and raised in southwestern Oregon so I spent most of my life fishing some very crappie rich waters. A couple years ago my young family and I moved to northwestern Montana. The hunting and fishing here is amazing but there are no crappie waters close by. Eastern Montana has some good crappie fishing, but it's a long drive from where I live. The Idaho panhandle has some good crappie lakes so most of my efforts will be directed there from now on. I really look forward to learning from the members of this site and meeting some very fine people. Thanks to all of you.

Thank you all for the very kind welcome. I look forward to participating with all of you...and honestly I envy the location of everyone who replied. Like I said , crappie waters are few and far between here but I will make the most of it. For now I am stuck dreaming of catching giant whites in Mississippi among other places. Thanks again to all of you.

I lived in Butte and Deer Lodge. We spent a lot of time on Georgetown Lake and the Clarkfork River. The last time I was out there was 2008 and it was still beautiful and the fish were still biting in the river, my son caught 19 and had a ball.
