Well got 11.92 miles per gallon
And I think I have the specs wrong on this f250. No way it has a 38 gallon tank. Maybe 28

They build them to go 450 miles. At 11.92 a gal. You'll
Need 38 gal tank. You should have got a GMC...
Kinda wondering if the low fuel gauge is working correctly.
Guess I can just run it out of gas to know for sure.
And DD it ain't funny:mad::D

Man, I can't talk. I only get 14 MPG in mine.
I get 18 daily running around with my GMC and 21 on the HWY
almost skeerd to ask, but were you pullin your boat when you got this mpg you speak of.
When I pull the boat I get 17-18
I got 10.5mpg in my 97 GMC last tank... That hurts the pocketbook
G, i was referring to david and his gas hog. I only get about 14, maybe 15 out of my truck pulling my boat...
G are you driving downhill all the time? I get 21 on the hwy and 16 around town, but Ive gotten NO better than 16 towing, and thats with a Diesel pushing 600 hp. Itll get it rolling quick tho. may be my driving style tho
I have a 08 GMC Serria four door crew cab Z-71 4X4 with the 5.3 V-8 and 3.73 gears. My 99 Z-71 had the same engine and gear ratio and it did very good also. Driveing style does have a lot to do with it. I got better mileage pulling my old G-3 boat than I do pulling the Sea Ark....but the Sea Ark is wider and taller and catches a lot more air and its a little heavier also.
I'm gonna have to take some geezer driving lessons... Probly save a ton on gas, and transmissions, and tires... You see what I'm getting at. The chevys always did seem to get better MPG than fords... better road gears, and still enough power to tow with
I get 5-6 mpg....need to find me a middle eastern girlfriend with a daddy in the oil biz.
That truck shoulda come with a 1 year fuel card KD.
You done that tuneup yet? That should help some.
yeah---not yet--the tires and new exhaust fixed the initial problems I thought the tune up was needed for. Will be doing the tune up shortly--plugs, oil change, filter, and maybe (hopefully) valve cover gaskets (the the oil leak-least I hope that's it) and pvc valve. I know headers, cold air intake kit, and maybe a reprogram would help--but really can't do much or gain much with 4.10 gears I think.
Ifn you dont change the wires, dist cap, and rotor button you bout as well not do the plugs, just the way it is these days.
Cool, put some wires on it then.
I get about 14 hwy and 9-10 pulling my boat with my V10.
:puke that blows. Also looking for the correct connector for a 4 flat plug--the big gewber didn't ever pull with lights plugged in
Big Gewber is right.. Ford put 4.10 in most of their gas burner 3/4 tons as do most other companies.. Toyota notorious for bragging on pulling power but that is where it comes from.. The older diesel models had a 3.55 in em.. Sure wish mine did.. Fuel mileage was near or in 20's
