on the new length limit, per fisherman limit and boat limit, as well as pole limits on Sardis, specifically, and Butla, Enid, and Granada, generally. I have read soooo much mis-information that I dodn't know what to believe.

Go to www.mdwfp.com and look it up....straight from the folks that make and enforce the rules.
G...maybe we should sticky my link?

Guys if i read this right and I am on Sardis with 3 licenced anglers in one boat they would be able to take 60 fish but because they are in the same boat they can only have 40? Just trying to understand?
3 fishrmen in one boat limit on Sardis is 40. CORRECT!!!! 4 of ya in a boat still 40. 2 of ya in a boat -limit 30 . By yourself- limit 15.
3 or 1000 in one boat---40 fish:)
3 poles 5 poles This is just dumb to me. 15 fish is 15 fish. Make it the same for every where. You wanna do something to save fish , enact restrictions during the spawn. Everywhere.
I have all but quit fishing any COE lakes so I really have no dog in the fight. But out of curiosity do any of you on here understand why each lakes seems to have a different reg regarding pole limits, size limits, possession limits, etc. I use to fish Sardis Enid and butla often but for the last year I have made less than a dozen trips down combined. Just seems like a lot of political bs to me. Maybe that's what they are after, keeping the numbers down on these lakes. If that's the case then its working.
G, your sticky site has wrong Reg. MDWFP-Fishing Regulations only has F17-3424, last year's Reg., Mississippi Department of Wildlife, Fisheries, & Parks has F18-3424, the latest Reg. for 2013, taking effect March 21, 2013. Don't ask me why you can go to different sites at MDWFP and get different info!
Four lakes within how many miles of each other and three different sets of rules. Awesome.
Less than an hour to all if ya live near Batesville, MS.

Bass fisherman have been doing it for years and then you throw in tourney rules during a tourney and its gets fun. Key is to just know what the regs are where you are fishing, if folks keep hollaring about them all being different then they will fix it and we wont like the outcome of that.
Does the pole limit apply on Lower Sardis?
the thing about setting limits/ect , there is one factor very crutial to the equation . "fishing pressure " . no way to predict how people will react to change . used to wait an hour to put in at choctaw (grenada, if you got there after daylight ) at times now you will be only one of a few at daylight . Some say it's because of the road conditions but I also remember seeing 20-30 trucks back boats directly into turkey creek . ahh the good days !:twocents
Funny how Horn Lake is still listed even though you can't get to it to fish. Obviously MDWFP recognizes as Public Water.
Helicopter lake ifn ya got one or plane with pontoons ut oh what kinda rules gonna come out of trollin off your planetoon????????????????????????????????????????? ?
