Rich, your tag "the joys of being retired" has got me thinking that maybe I should look at eliminating all the livestock so that we are not tied down and can enjoy the "joy of retirement" even more. MMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM?????????

I've been retired 16 years this month. Went to Arizona for a few years in the winter. Then diesel fuel went sky high. Got to go a lot of places and see a lot of things. Glad I did. At first $$ was good, but years down the road it gets tight. If you got things you want to do and can afford to do them? I would tell you to get out and do all that you can, while you can. Everything in our life can change in a second.
Thread for old geezers who need a place to talk.
I used to get tired at work, but ain't never been tired of being retired............:highfive
If nothing else that sounds like a tasty option :)
Don't sound like a bad idea, mike
See G it sucked you in. :Rofl
Hey...you and Kev aint old enough to post in this thread. :hatchet:
I'm not old enough either, but I sure can dream about it.
I need a nap
Is 55 oldenough to post in this thread?......cause lately I've been thinking of retiring. 9 months in Michigan to hunt and fish and 3 months down south to do the same.
Hey Ashman, glad to see you back... How have you been?
Glad to be back home, I took a job that keeps me home. No more living on the road, out of a suitcae and away from family......which translates into more time to go fishing with the wife, kids and grandkids!!!!!
Fun advice. I turned 66 Feb. 7th and we have our 45th Anniversary today - gotta get out my "Checkers" coupons and take her out to dinner.
Happy anniversary. I'd take her fishing!
Happy 45th! Thats quite an accomplishment, Congrats.
Good Deal!!!
Believe it or not after church we actually went to eat at Checkers (Hot-N-Now). On our 20th anniversary we were low on funds and ended up going to Hot-N-Now for a burger. We told them and everybody had a good laugh. Every year after we made a tradition of going there. On our 25th the owner didn't charge us and said happy anniversary and gave me a Hot-N-Now ball cap. (I still have it). Every year since we have eaten there on our anniv. Checkers bought them out but we still continue the tradition. Good times. We had a great day. FYI - Tiff and Shelly (daughter) both love to fish, all day trips too. Rig their own gear and bait there own hooks. There happy as long as their catching fish. If not guess who's fault it ends up being.
