Group of fishermen came to Lake Talquin for Crappie fishing. The bit was slow in the morning but heated up in the afternoon. The three boats (9 Fishermen) averaged 35 fish per boat. Here is a few pics from today. Fish were in the open water .......

Thursday was not quit as good as Wednesday.......but not bad at all. Males and females still in the channel and lots of fun to catch. One angler had 2.8, 2.3, and 2 2.2's.

i wanted to come there last week i had time off, but due to financial embarrassment /could not afford 4 dollar a gallon gas / i had to stay home and just turned up the heat , looks like a good week was had by all
How's the fishing there today
I'm thinking of going next thurs or Friday for 3or4 days just depends on the weather and if I can get everything together .only been there once was bass and crappie fishing this was about 3years ago lasts of oct or first of nov hurricane had just past thur.had better luck at the time on bass would have rather had crappie can catch bass any were or any time

Frog, I haven't been in a few days. Though, with the rain we got the last two days and going to get tonight and tomorrow, I would bet its going to being very muddy for a fweek or so. Maybe Litewire will chime in. You can always call Lake Talquin Lodge for an updated report
Lots of rain at lake Talquin.....approx 6 inches Friday and more Saturday and looks like its been raining today and turning colder this weekend.......I would call and check conditions of lake ......I'm sitting this weekend out.
