Is it just me, or have they lowered the rule curves on the BIG 4 this year?
they havent lowered them, with that said 3 out of the 4 are above curve. Butla by over 8 feet, Sardis by more than 4, Enid is the closest to the curve being over by only a foot and a half, and Grenada by almost 11 feet.
Thanks Rees--I just didn't remember the summer peak at Grenada being 216'. Seemed to me it was always over 220'.
Anyway, they will surely keep dropping it which means a bunched up spawn and more than likely the fingerlings will not have a good place to feed and hide this summer.
We have been higher than we were at any time last year until the last couple of days, rain on the radar now, maybe the Good Lord will keep us some water. I like to fish out of Bryant but it is very rare this time of year or even through the spawn, its borderline on being able to unload rite now but after this rain tonight should be able to for a little while.
Good luck then neighbor. I'm at Graysport.
We aint far apart then, I live on Turkey Creek about 8 miles upsteam from Bryant. Good luck to you as well.
Call me waden when you get down here
Got ya, cool. Maybe I will get a chance to meet him.
This link plots out the rule curve and also the current water level for all of the COE lakes on a graph. And they are all actually above the curve right now. U.S. Army Corps of Engineers -- Vicksburg District
