Sorry guys been busy loking for a burger joint to give me a second job $9 an hour pretty good money. I barely make that firefighting/EMT. I have enjoyed most of you and learned alot.
When I read the title about the "Skids", my first thought was Toms toilet paper thread.
Weaning yourself off a particular thread can be tough. Almost had the habit kicked, then zip.........the rug gets pulled at just the right time. Saved me

Yeah ... but, there really wasn't any "skids" put on ... not really !!
The forums were just moved from an obscure place in the line-up, to a sub-forum spot in the "main event". That was actually doing just the opposite of "putting the skids on" .... as it brings the OT/WOT forums "front row center".
The biggest difference ... is that now "I" am more closely involved in moderating these forums, along with Slab's moderation & participation.

Personally, I like it. Maybe I can stop avoiding this forum now. Before people were far too quick to attack others with opposing viewpoints, even when they were wrong. And I'm talking both ends of the political spectrum.
There are plenty of other forums on the internet where one can discuss politics and flame one another out in the open.
Not only is it quite in here it's down right boring. Either some folks are just too thin skinned or its because some that can't logically defend their own positions don't want to see any other positions expressed that are in opposition to their own. Speaking of being "banned", about a month ago my router banned me from crappie.com, only way I could get it to load was bypass my router by unplugging from it and plugging directly into the modem, I reset the thing about a dozen times then it worked for about 2 days then it quit again.... I got a suggestion yesterday about a change to make in the router and knock on wood, it has worked over night so hopefully I have gotten it fixed... First time I have ever seen a router block a website that wasn't a firewall issue.

CP, as I remember it, the WOT board was created after three or four "whiners" (who never posted on the OT board) complained about the board that they did not participate in. Apparently, watching other people enjoy themselves was just more than they could stand, so they complained.
