I like trolling with crank baits, for those who fish Sardis during the winter season what colors are you finding the most bits out of? My favorite and most successful is Mad Cow.....I just need some input on what you guys think?

don't think your gonna beat a minner in the winter down there, much less spring, summer and fall....
I only pull crankbaits in the summer....they seem to work better in hot weather. My favorites are the Rebel Crappie CrankR's in the colors Tail light and fire fly.
Thank you ...I do have an Orange Crush and Plum Point, but I lost my Wild Thing last year. The Mad Cow and Fire Tiger was a hit last summer early winter, but thanks for the input, it really helps me get ready. BTW, "WindStone" when I troll I start out using half minnows and half crank baits just to see what they bite at the most and of course I change according to them. Ha!
Yeah "G" summer time is the BEST time to use crank baits, thats actually when I use them the most. I don't think I have ever seen a Rebel though, ha ha ha ha....I am a Ole Miss Rebel fan though...Hotty Toddy. :)
Just so you guys do know.... I will be jigging this spring!:fish
Bandit colors Pink Silver Sparkle and Orange Crush do good on Sardis.
I have a T-Shirt that says "FAIL STATE"! Ha Ha! Really I do like TRUE MSU Fans....I really don't like "BanWagon" peeps, if you know what I mean! :hatchet:
them rebels, uh i mean bears, outbid eiry body on those hi school, hi dollar, drop outs i see...
I am one of those "Old Timers" that will never except the BLACK BEAR ...... Col. Reb ONLY! It was a stupid idea to change anyways!
ha ha! We signed the number 1 draft today, not a democrat.....REPUBLICAN all the way (well only when I agree with them) LOL! Hotty Toddy!
Hotty toddy that's my favorite color that is babygirl
Coach Freeze is really a great coach, so sorry to hear about your Dad!
Crank baits at Sardis are much like Ole Miss football... Dark and Gloomy, as the program has and WILL be, Black and Red work well.. Bright and Sunny, like today was for Black Bear fans, bright colors work well( Sardis Gold, Mad Cow, and Bubblegum.... Chrome is a good one on sunny days too.. Welcome to the board... Best advice I can you give you is, take none from someone you don't know and half from those you do... Lots of BS round here
As you can see from reading the responses here, it's best to have a big selection of colors. They change every day depending on Sun Light, Water Color, Depth , Etc. I have 400 or so Bandits and other baits. You can get a decent deal on the Bandits at Wallace's bait shop on the south side of the lower lake at Sardis.

I always put out black, pink, and some of the others at first and see what they want. Bandit has some "glow" baits that have worked well for me.
On Butla pink and black are good.
