private pond?
My granddaddy had a few in his catfish pond when I was a kid. That pic just brought back some fond memories.
Boy! That's a long rascal.

Those are channel cats
Wouldn't a true albino have pink eyes ?
I have caught white channel cats,i think that in colder wate temps some channel cats just loose some color as water temps come up their color comes back.
Some are mutations and not true albinos

White channel cats have black eyes and are long. Albinos have pink eyes and are shorter.
Yeah I thought it was weird that it didn't have pink eyes, but the cat itself had no color aside from white and pink
Looks like a pond fish. Long and LEAN. That fish was poor. LOL

Fish farmers around here raise a variety of channel cat that is "white". Simmons Catfish processes only white fishes, mainly because of their growth rate and the white meat. Some must have escaped into the lower Yazoo River some time back. I've caught them on trot lines and limb lines early in the year in the river. They're usually short, stocky fish with wider than normal bodies.
The casinos up here in Tunica had both whites and albinos in their motes. After 3 flooding years, they are gone.
Nice mess of cats
