What ya need? I'm abit far but I do travel to north mississippi if the job is big enough. I can't go for $500 though
It ain't very big. A little over an acre.
To far for me. Call Shannon Tidwell in Ripley. (662)837-9373 tell him Donald with Homer Langs office said to call
HAD 7 ACRES DONE LAST SUMMER . WAS SHOCKED AT COST . ESPECIALLY SINCE OUR LAND COMPLETELY SURROUNDED IT . WAS" GIVEN " TO A FAMILY MEMBER THEN BOUGHT BACK . ENDED UP BEING A HECK OF A GIFT . AT LEAST HE LEFT IT WORSE THAN HE GOT IT !:scratchhead
Eagle. Did you have 7 acres vut out of the property? If so, then we have to verify a couple of the property corners AND tie down a section or quarter section corner. part of the new surveying laws. We also have to tie down the roads, any structure that's on the property and anything that may affect the boundary lines. 7 acres should have run you about (assuming it was fairly open along the property lines) around 1750-2000. It the property lines were real wooded, then add a 1000 bucks
To make sure it is where the deed says it is. Our licenses are on the line when we stamp the survey. Seen several lawsuits from doing it like your talking about
It's a square inside a larger sQuare , can't see why other than to show that we are back to the original tract .
I think what DD means is they have to verify that the original tract is correct before they can take a piece out of it.....if not then everything would be wrong.

First you have to plot the legals on not only your overall tract, then the adjoining tracts ( required by our laws) . Then you figure about $100 an hour for the crew. They'll spend day finding iron pins for the overall tract and location the road and whatever else was on the site. Then a day in the office drawing up the plat and writting the legal description. Then 3 to 4 hours going out and setting the corner pins of your 7 acres.
$1100-$1200 for the 2 or 3 man field crew and $640 for the office part.
Expenses were, gas for truck, salary for 3 people, iron pin costs, wood stake costs. Control point (big nails. LOL)
I pay about 60 grand a year in errors and emisions insurance plus what folks don't realize about employees is if you pay a guy say $10 and hour, it costs the company around $25 an hour to employee him after you look at taxes and part of the insurance. SUCKS but it's required
