Got out late again this afternoon , wanted to try out the new trolling motor , started catching fish right at dark and finished my limit around 8:30 , once again caught em shallow 18-24 inches deep dragging a 16th oz orange head with white and chart southern pro little hustler along the grassAttachment 114592Attachment 114593Attachment 114594

Observation..... Greg caught these in 1.5 to 2 FOW ??? If i were on my home lake (lake fork,east texas) untill i moved ,i would have been fishing in Dec,Jan and Feb. in 55'-60' FOW ? what the heck ? Or the guys fishing Dardenelle 20-30 FOW ? LOCAL info is PRICELESS !!!
Tonyjohn, that's what I want to know. Why are the fish in that shallow water right now? Can someone explain it?

Fishing in total darkness , I've tried using a light but it seems to spoke the fish because there so shallow , no problem feeling the thump it's just hard to tell how much line u have out , where your rod tip is and how close to the water your holding it, takes practice and getting use toQuote:

I was going to give it a shot tonight. Got out there and caught a couple on brush, then I realized I left my coat in the truck! I didnt even make it til dark. My toes are still numb.
