Better call ahead i was told they were going to shut the power plant down the end of January for routine maintenance. If they do no more hot water. Jim C.
Thanks for the heads up. I'll give them a call.
Have a great day out there.
Yep refuel outage starts in Feb will be down about 30 or so.
trip to wolf creek today. 139 fish.. 1 14" crappie 1 blue cat 4 large mouth. the rest white bass. fun day on the water. little chilli early, little windy late.
Ragnar it was nice meeting you and Shane also. Our day didn't go to well. The ignition switch in my boat fried just as we were getting to the hot water. We fished the riprap for a little while and caught 9 crappie all b/t 13.5" inches 14.75", 6 largemouth and 1 smallie. We decide we better start trolling back to the ramp since the big motor won't start and half way across the trolling motor quit. Had to call the guard shack to be towed in. It's time for a new boat I think. I wonder if my wife would let me get a boat like you where in? Probably not!
if she does let you get a new boat, does she have a sister? sorry about the problems, hate days like that. good luck getting it running again.
The weather man said it was going to be nice today so Don and I traveled 1 ½ hours to Coffey County Lake where the water is 68 degrees all winter long. After checking in at the gate house, we put all the clothes we had on and launched the boat. Fished a colder point for a short time to allow the very cold boat to acclimate to the warmer waters, and caught a nice small mouth around 3ish pounds on a clacking rap. Things were too slow so we moved into the hot water shoot with some large mouth and smaller whites. Need to move out and find more fish… Headed North and found the fish on a main point in 5 foot of water. Casting and catching was fast and we also watched graph and would vertical fish when they would come under the boat. The day got warmer and the fish moved out deeper but the bite continued. We ended up with 139 fish and some sore hands. Great day!!
Went back on Sunday and stopped at 150... Same pattern.
Great report. Thanks. Glad you got into them.
