I had a chance to get down there and fish this weekend but those darn storms that rolled thru here last night has me cutting up some downed trees at Talquin Maggies house today...Hope to finish the cutting today and all the cleaning up tomorrow...Nice fish and congrats!!:cheers2
Nice looking fish, I see you can catch fish, you just have to find them. I also agree with crappielover, you should take those nice slabs and put them in Griffin. I'm about to go crazy, two days in a row and no fishing.
Don't recognize that park. Where is it located?

CoastalAngler1 nudges out Slab with a 1.66 lb. female caught longlining in the middle of Lake Monroe on a tandem lead head 1/16th oz. w/ purple/white shad tails (no meat). Team Roadrunner Captain Gilford 'Sonny' Sipes gets all the credit, everyone else was merely crew. Funny thing is, Sonny's brother Shannon asked me how deep my lure was, then pulled out an electronic lure selector dropping a wire the same depth and tole me purple on a naked lead head. I went along reluctantly. Looking back at him with a raised eyebrow he said, "Take a look"...and the darn big fish grabbed the purple. Go figure...
Here's Slab's 1.64lb. Lake Monroe Monster Buck Crappie (male fish)

FYI - Sipes run a very organized 'uniform' fishing technique. All the BnM poles are positioned just right, and Sonny drives Shannon crazy for the first 10 minutes adjusting the rod holders so that the tips are exactly spaced, even, and the same close distance to the water. Dan Dannenmueller is fishing the new Ranger wrap boat Team Bobby Garland. I hope Roadrunner or Bobby Garland teams win tomorrow.
See you at the weigh-in...
WTG Slab! I am sooooooo ready for the weekend.
