What ya'll think of Duralast Tierod ends, Idler and Pitman arms? Think the Idler and Pitman arms MAY be good to go but would rather use MOOG for the tie rods. They may be good to go as well

Moog is the best you can get in my opinion......BorgWarner is good also.

I ain't putting new rims on the truck. Nope, mot happnin LOL I don't have to have the best. I just want an opinion on Duralast. Getting it fixed this coming weekend and fixing to go buy the parts. I know MOOG is the best but is Duralast a decent quality part.
Remember when it used to be called AutoShack? We used to call it AutoShaft! Friend of my father's bought a water pump from AutoShaft with a lifetime warranty. Dad installed it for him since his friend couldn't change a light bulb. The pump would last about six months. The guy would bring it back to my dad and he'd change the pump again. After about the 5th one dad told him to go buy a real water pump. At 75-100 bux an hour for labor nowadays I'd buy good parts, but if ya want to get shafted.......get the duralast.:twocents
I had been using Auto Shack Auto Zone parts for years. I bought an 88 model car, when the pads needed changing I went to get a set. Nope, dealer's item. I went to Advance auto parts. When I needed rotors for it, I returned to Auto Zone. Nope dealer's item. So back to Advance and haven't been back to Auto Zone.
Two things best to not cheap out on.....front end parts and brakes

I agree that Moog is the best. BUT if you aren't going to correct the cause of the problem (wide rims) then why spend the money for top brand parts. Duralast parts will last just as long.:twocents
Has nothing to do with the best....your rims not being properly back spaced makes your tires and wheels stick out further than GM designed your truck for.....this puts extra stress and strain on your hubs, bearings, and steering components. In other words.....they will not last as long as intended.Quote:

Get oem parts.
If those tiresand rims were supost to be on that truck gm would sell them like that. Get good parts and different tires and rims spend a little now or alot later
Something else to consider. No matter what parts you use today, you will have it to do over in 2-3 years if you don't correct the cause.

I ain;t RICH like you guys. Just forked out almost 600 for a new power steering pumpm and lines on her car. her daughters car needs a new Water pump and not to even mention all the extra money we've spent on the house getting it finished. AIN'T no extra money
