There's never really a bad time to fish the cove during the winter , just learning to catch them can take years , I've been fishing Conway for twenty years and the first teen were tough , just keep going trying different techniques and listening to others who are catching them and you'll figure it out , however I don't know weather the construction on 40 is affecting the run this winter but I do know it has been off compared to recent years, good luck!!Quote:

Yeah crappie can definately be caught in cold water. I've caught them in water where I almost had to break ice to get a hook in the water, they unlike bass or other fish like the cold water. Now don't get me wrong they really like the warmer days of Spring but they can be caught in cold water once you find them.Quote:
