Me and the buddy I fished with today were on Dequeen lake here a couple years ago bow fishing one night when I swung the old spot light down the side of the boat and said BIG BUFF, STICK HIM!! It wasn't a BUFF though, it was a beaver and Scottie just nearly put and arrow in him. We laugh about that to this day saying we'd have went swimming if he'd have put and arrow in that sucker as it swam under that flat bottom boat that night.
i think it time to move to a better place to swim
I know who to call on the next gator hunt.

Where was the pic taken?
Me and my cousin were bow fishing on lake Conway one night and he shot a beaver with his bow. Needless to say things got interesting. Luckily we had something to give it a head ache.
Fried gator sure sounds tasty ABH!!

i noticed jw that the water temp was 47 degrees, alligators are cold-blooded reptiles and go thru a process which is called ''brumation'' when the temp is colder than 70 degrees they find a burrow or some people call it a alligator hole which is on top of the ground and sometimes under the waters surface. but never have i heard of a gator just lying flat on the bottom and not burrowed up with those temp.
he may be one of them cool gators :biggrin
Might not be a gator but that is obviously an acorn right above him. Or a basketball with an elf hat on.

Blue I saw him sunning and he slid off in water when i got too close and I never saw him surface then I saw Df. Sure looks like gator I saw. Who knows lol.

Yesterday we saw a couple of beavers hard at work but today they were holed up!
That looks like a whopper. Never even thought about marking a Gator on the depthfinder. Pretty cool....thanks for sharing.

Cool!!!! I bought a 500 series Humming bird with DI this winter going to put it on my Pontoon Boat. im gona get Coco to take a picture of me under it while i am spear fishing. i wana see what i look like...;)
