FINALLY heard back from the shop
Inner Tie Rod ends, Idler Arms and Pittman Arms. Quote to fix $917.45. Said 3 to 3 1/2 hours labor. They must upcharge on the parts as well. I found the Inner Toe Rods to be $35 each. Idler Arms about $45 and the Pittman Arms to be $43ish. That's only $245 for parts and that's Autozone
FINALLY heard back from the shop
Good parts would be $400. Autozone parts are junk most the time
Re: FINALLY heard back from the shop

Don, you really need to get another opinion. My 2000 Z71 has over 225,000 miles and has never had those parts changed. Almost unheard of for a pitman arm to go bad. Autozone parts are as good as any out there. All brand name stuff and with excellent warranties.

I can normally get 2 years out of pitman and idler arms, bout the same on ball joints, but I have a lift, aftermarket wheels and tires on mine

Absolutely right. Didn't know about the wide wheels/tires. What Rees said.

I don't have a clue where that quote came from. I was agreeing with "G". I did talk to a guy today that was named "Murphy".

Agree MOOG is best

Betr than a nice new payment DD. those will hurt ur feelings now days.
Re: FINALLY heard back from the shop
Not directly. Pitman arm is the big arm connected to the steering box and connects to the drag link. The idler arms are shorter arms mounted on the front cross-member and connect to the drag link. The idlers are the pivot points of that allow the drag link to move from side to side.
