Thanks for the information. I'll call them.
Racquet if you could wait till Robby finishes with mine I would appreciate it! He is good and fast . 328 E. Kenosha at about 71st and Lynn Lane. Look for the Motorguide banner . He is located in the rear of a large auto repair shop run by a guy who knows his crappie stuff! Good luck.
After enjoying so many of your posts crappie ciller, I feel that it is very important for your trolling motor to be repaired as quickly as possible so you can return to the water and report on more of your adventures. Therefor, I will call Robby and make sure he has finished repairing your motor before I take mine to him. Thank you very much for the directions and information.
Don't do the man you any favors. You should call Robby and reserve your spot and make it a point that his motor is repaired after yours.
Let's have a vote...
Too late evil Reaper. I picked it up four hours after a took it in. You and the rest of the c.c hooligans could take some lessons from my new dear friend Racquet, whose Mom obviously taught him well. Thank you for the respect you have shown my elderly status Racquet. I'm sorry you now find yourself in such rough company and hope that your gentle ways will have a positive influence on our accidental associates. You have earned some good kharma Ra . Hope it fills your live well soon! And Reaper- my money is on Ledge tomorrow but second place is still open- good luck.
George, George, George......like your moves BROTHER but in this world of crappie fishing and getting trolling motors fixed its everyman for hisself.....but if mind games works like I said everyman for hisself.....Your A Hoot......Ranger
Ur as bad as my wife Craig my boy........stand corrected now I will excuse myself and go stand in the nose corner.......Ranger
To all of you c.c members who suggested I take my broken trolling motor to Robby's for repair,I want to say "thank you".He was fast and reasonably priced. Crappie ciller I want you to know that as you requested, I dutifully waited to take my motor in until yours was repaired. In fact, Robby remembers you! He said he had never seen anyone manage to get as much monofilament wrapped around the shaft of their trolling motor as you did.:biggrin
Reaper you need to know chiller is learning to use his trolling motor instead of dropping his anchor in the middle of wood...lol...maybe I should of taken more care and time to explain that its not good on that piece of equipment to use as a line removal tool. I am sure he understands that now...my bad......Ranger
Well shoot! Is it too late to claim that Robby got me mixed up with someone else?
Crappie ciller you seem like a man who enjoys a little humor. I hope you didn't mind me having a little fun. I'm not sure if Robby remembers you or not.
I thought it was a good one Racquet and am as always just happy to be included! It would have been even better had you pulled it on Ranger of course. Don't worry about watching your back for my revenge. Just relax for now as it will take me a long time to plot the perfect post. Not to worry Ann, oops an.
George you know me I just couldn't leave it alone. All in fun my brother.......Ranger
You know the irony of that was that though I have not yet fouled my own prop I did strip a spool of 6pm Vicious with Ledge's trolling motor. I was actually trying to get even after the massive weight of the thing almost pulled me over the side the first time I set it in the water! We were over a hot pile in winds that were picking up at the time so Ledge and Larry had to make like it was no biggie while I unwrapped and we drifted away. I'm sure it's just coincidence that I haven't heard much from those guys since as I was otherwise the perfect companion. As the wind shoved us away I thought to myself " see there Ranger, anchors are our friends after all."
i have a transom mount 54lbs. thrust variable speed motor guide that when I put it in the water this year it works for about 10 seconds then quits. Several minutes later it will work again for about 10 seconds then quit. Is it worth trying to get it fixed or should I just tie a rope to it and use it as an anchor. If I'm looking at $100+ to fix it then it's now trash and my fishing season has ended before it really began as this was my main motor. My budget is almost nill for another 4 years till I get that stupid car paid off my wife just had to have last year even though I said we couldn't afford it. I know my best bet would be to just quit fishing until I can afford it again but I'm fairly certain my marriage will not last much longer if I don't get back on the water. /end rant
