Hit and run

I just got nailed in Suffolk by some young punk that decided he was not gonna stick around for the police.

I was in right lane he was in left lane and he decided he wanted to make a right turn.... through me.

All I got was car colors.

Starting to feel it in my back now too.

Dread the insurance gauntlet now.

I have a police report, but I doubt he'll get caught. I couldn't identify him if he was anyway.

Took out my driver's front wheel, bent the heck outta the rim, jammed up the driver font fender, and I have cracked windshield.
No telling what else was damaged in the steering, drive train or brakes.

Insurance was surprisingly smooth... will not effect my policy.... $100 deductible and $900 worth of rental car.

Estimate of visible/known damage is just shy of $2k..... does not include possible suspension, steering. brake or drive-train damage, etc.

That's rough, hope you bounce back

Ive been hit 3 times towing my big boat (29' center console) and have yet to see anything dome to those who hit me... but let me have a over idth light or side light out an i get the ticket.

I frequently question our rules and regulations of civil living.
