Thought about buying one of the long handle crappie nets like you see the crappie master guys carry I found one called an ego reach it extends to seven feet has anyone tried one or one like it ? Since it extends I'm thinking it shouldn't take up much room, anyone tried one before ?
Got two of 'em. I like mine. The only knock I have on them is they are a little heavier than I anticipated they would be when extended. Oh yeah, Creek says they don't float!!! :yikes
I have one but replaced the netting with much lighter net material. Works great and they do not float.......I know from experience.
I like mine. Although i havent had any problems, i have seen several posts in the past with people having problems with the slide after awhile. I belive most of them got a replacment from ego free
Go buy you an extendable long handle from Lowes.. or some hardwear store .I use the Long arm...then put a Frabil net on the end...drill one hole to keep em attached with a small bolt n nut. Lightest best net ive ever used and it will reach out and touch them. And will cost you half the money.
Did you guys buy em online or in a store? I found one at dicks in Conway . It's an ego but it only extends like four or five foot I'm not finding any stores around that carry the longer ones, I may have to order or buy one online and have it shipped I guess .

I'm on my second Ego Reach....has the rubber net.....great but just a little heavy. Also made one with a long thin wooden handle and a nethead I got from Walmart that works really well....it's extremely lightweight and fast. If you get the Ego just put some pipe insulation around the shaft and secure with zip ties so it will float.
If you fish with Crappie Pro, you get lots of practice using his net! :yikes If I had not already bought an Ego-Reach when I used his, I think I'd try building one like his. It's light, and extends as far as my 8' Ego-Reach! Good net!
I have a EGO that goes 8ft and I love it.
Ego Reach rubber is great for use when pulling cranks but it is a little heavier than the ego reach coated net which is easier to use by yourself. The Ego Slider is a really cool design but the handles don't hold up at all. Just had my third one go bad. This net is to heavy for use by yourself but great for fishing with someone. I recently bought a paint pole from lowes and screwed my slider handle into it. Think its going to work pretty well.

Love my ego reach.
Only downside to mine is it has the rubber coated net & hooks get caught in it & are a pain to remove. If I had it to do again, I'd get the rubber mesh net.

I guess I am cheap. Iuse a Frabil with broom handle screwed to it. Its about 7'long and very light weight. when I fish by myself I found that a small trout type net works well when I sit on the front of the boat.
I don't know what brand mine is. But, I had and old handel from a paint roller or something laying around. I stuck it in the end of my net handel and it fit. I will go the mesh type when this one gives up. The one I have is a PITA when a Bandit gets hung up in it. But, if you fish with long poles, you gots to have a long handeled net.

EGO Reach
I sell the Crappie Masters net by Dotline. It's the best for Spider Rigging. Smaller diameter netting, and extends twice. It comes 75" long, and extends the first time to 116" and again to 141". Almost 12', and it's light, and strong.
The EGO is better for cranks.

If they don't float, try using a pool noodle or pipe insulations and zip tie a 12"-16" piece to the handle and it should float with that, at least my Frabil does.
Nimrod don't know what a dip net is!! His fish go from "thump" to the floor of the boat in one single motion!!! And that's regardless of size! I've fished with him several times and can't remember him losing a fish!
