Going ice fishing with Tomtom. Anyone want to come with.
Always wanted to try it! The water stays too thin around here. Good luck guys.
Six inches of ice.
naw, ice too thick
Has Tom got to do everything? Sheeesh he pulled the gear out there and now he has to drill the holes too? No wonder he came to Fall camp without you. :Rofl
Looks like too many people on there for me. Thought you were in the Sunshine State anyhow.
Here's the setup and where it gets warm.
Getting some bluegills but no crappie yet.
Good way to hunt Polar bears, drill a hole in ice then open a can of peas and pour em around the hole when bear shows up to take a pea choot em in the icehole.
Been out myself quite a few times, hope you guys don't lose much ice this coming week with the warmer temps
And oh that doesn't look like a Crappie :biggrin
Dang it. I can see crappie under the ice but I can't get them to bite.
Always wanted to do that, heard my father in law talkin bout doing it but I never have had the chance. He said once you got set up in the shack you could stay toasty warm. Looks like alot of fun Slab
That's a crappie, he took my bait but I missed him. I was too busy taking pictures i think.
Reach down there and get him.
you could get him with a frog gig
Nice picture. its the best when you can see what the fish are doing
I had the same thing going on yesterday, them Crappie were tight lipped
Looks like your using live bait, Wax worms?
Around us its still hard to find mousies so spikes work pretty good, as normal i always tend to stick to plastics
Have fun and stay safe
You would have to drill some bigger holes than that to pull the fish we catch down here thru,:biggrin
Yep. Using Waxies
How thick is the ice ?
Six inches of ice and that's plenty.
What lake you on Slab? And thanks for the uninvite.
We're on Neilsons channel. By Herman's bar.
Sorry Wilbur. How about we plan to go this week or next weekend.
Not getting any crappie though.
Ice too thin for me.....got to be 12 inches so I can measure my fish as they come out of the hole :biggrin
get home and unload the beer truck BIG H wants to get home
Just don't let TomTom fall in or drop his phone in on of them holes. Good mess of them Gills will fry up good.
